If an impending rollover is detected, dual Pop-up Roll Bars engage automatically behind the rear seats to help protect occupants. Structurally reinforced A-pillars, body sills and body structure help enhance overall passenger safety.
The G Convertible features unique door-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags, in addition to the Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System (AABS)[*=AABS], which includes dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt and occupant-classification sensors, which adjust their inflation rate depending on seat occupancy and seat belt usage. If the front-passenger’s seat is empty, a sensor will deactivate the air bag. Front seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags also help provide additional protection for front occupants.
The 4-wheel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is enhanced by Brake Assist, which helps apply the maximum brake force you need to help prevent a collision. And Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) helps improve braking performance by actively adjusting the amount of brake force applied to front and rear wheels.
